I’m glad to hear that you’ve been reflecting and thinking about how you can move forward.
I don’t need someone to be my sculptor. My true, best self isn’t hidden away under rough edges. I want someone who will grow and be curious with me, edges and all. And in that process, we’ll bring out the best in each other. We don’t need to have deep conversations all the time, or actively think about how to improve each other. We can just live by laughing more and taking ourselves a little less seriously. Something doesn’t have to be deep (or practical) to be meaningful.
I like Dawn. I’m glad you’re expressing more, too. I believe you’ll find your own brand of creative expression. It doesn’t have to look anything like mine (and I’m sure it won’t).
Thanks for remembering Yeye. May our grandpas rest in peace. I hope you and your family get the closure you need, too. Happy New Year!
At the moment, I don’t intend on reopening our chapter. But as always, I’m thankful, and I hope you’re doing alright.
